At The MTC

Ben was at the MTC for three weeks. He sent home one set of pictures, majority were blurry, but we sorted through and found the best! His companion in the MTC was Elder Anderson from Las Vegas, Nevada. They spent their P-days together playing volleyball because that was Elder Anderson's favorite sport. The two boys were making plans to attend the Olympics and win a gold together. He ran into a lot of old friends and previous basketball opponents while there, and touched base with all of them, he said he loved to see so many familiar faces. He said one of the favorite things about being at the MTC was being able to listen to all the different languages that were spoken around him daily. He loved hearing Elders and Sisters bare their personal testimonies in their specific languages about the gospel. He described the spirit in the MTC as being caught in the middle of a rain storm and having it pour all over him. He loved going to the Provo temple with the other Elders, and let us all know how gorgeous it was. One of his big assignments was to answer the incoming calls from the pass along cards. He said he got really good at them and reported some very successful stories. He thought it was pretty neat how much you could touch someones life just over the phone. He flew out to Alabama at 3:30 am on October 1st. We are patiently waiting for a letter from Alabama and many new stories! Check again soon for SWEET HOME ALABAMA updates!
