Getting Set Apart

Ben was set apart as a missionary Tuesday, Sept 9th at 9:00 pm. Mom, Dad, Wendy, Cody, Amy, Jordan, and Annie were all there. After a quick setting apart at the stake center we went over to my parent's house to say our final goodbyes to Ben. We all went around the room and said what we loved and admired most about him and kind of bore our testimonies to him. It was really neat and spiritual. Tears were definitely shed but that's because Ben's so incredible and although we will miss him SOOOO much, we all know he's going to be awesome out there. The best part about the night was when Ben said, "Well, you know I'm going to miss you guys and it makes me sad to see you cry, but I'm ready to go to Alabama and know that's where I should be!" We went and got icecream after at Sconecutter - the only place open at 10:00 pm. We missed Julie and Balta, but they were there in Spirit. Ben we are so proud of you and your decision to serve a mission. Here are some pictures after he got set apart.
